Economic Benefits of Entrepreneurship

There are several ways that entrepreneurs benefit the economies they belong to and interact with, one of which is through job creation. Entrepreneurs create jobs directly when they establish and run their companies. If their ventures are successful, entrepreneurs also help to create more jobs indirectly. This happens when the companies they start create an increase in the demand for goods and services from other companies. For example, a successful restaurant chain will demand more produce, which could lead to more jobs for farmworkers.

Entrepreneurs, in general, have to pay more taxes as their businesses expand. In this way they grow the tax base by increasing the funds available to the government. Higher tax revenues may lead to increased government spending that not only distributes funds to areas of society that sorely need help, but may also be used for projects that stimulate further economic growth.
